Glossary

Every term PersonaCart uses, in one place. Each entry says what the thing is, gives an example, and links to where it's actually used.

A

Abandoned cart

A cart a buyer filled but left without paying. PersonaCart tracks these so you can win the sale back with a recovery flow.

A shopper adds a mug, reaches checkout, closes the tab. That cart is now abandoned.

Affiliate

Someone who promotes your products for a share of the sale, tracked by their own link.

A coach shares your course link and earns 20% of each sale that comes through it.

Approval

A gate PieOS waits at before doing anything consequential. It proposes; you decide.

PieOS drafts a price change and holds it until you approve.

Atom

A single block you drop onto a page in the editor — a heading, an image, a button.

A Testimonial atom puts one customer quote on the page.

Autonomy

How much PieOS does without asking. A dial, not a switch: turn it down and it checks with you on nearly everything.

At low autonomy PieOS proposes a campaign; at higher autonomy it schedules routine sends itself.

B

A single link-in-bio page holding your links, products and content — the one URL you put in a social profile.

Your Instagram bio points at one BioLink instead of a different link each week.

Block

A unit of content in the page editor. Blocks sit inside sections and make up a page.

A product grid block lists products pulled from your catalogue.

Bundle

Several products sold together as one purchase, usually at a combined price.

Three courses sold together as a starter pack.

C

Cart recovery

The automation that emails a buyer who abandoned a cart, to bring them back to finish.

A reminder goes out two hours after the cart is left.

Certificate

A verifiable document issued when a buyer completes a course.

A student finishes your curriculum and receives a certificate with a verification link.

Churn rate

The share of subscribers lost over a period. Read alongside MRR — revenue can look healthy while churn quietly eats it.

5% churn over 30 days means one in twenty subscribers left.

Collection

A named group of products buyers can browse together. One product can sit in several collections.

A Summer collection holding six products that also live in other collections.

Compare-at price

The higher price shown struck through beside the actual price, to show a saving.

£40 struck through next to £25.

Coupon

A code a buyer enters at checkout for a discount.

WELCOME10 takes 10% off a first order.

Curriculum

The structure of a course: its modules and lessons, and the order they unlock in.

A six-module curriculum where each module opens a week after the last.

Custom domain

A web address you own, serving your store or BioLink instead of a PersonaCart address.

shop.yourname.com instead of yourname.personacart.com.

D

Digital product

Something delivered as a file or access rather than shipped — an ebook, a template, a download.

A PDF workbook the buyer downloads immediately after paying.

Download limit

How many times a buyer may download a digital file before the link stops working.

A limit of 3 stops a link being shared endlessly.

Drip release

Releasing course content on a schedule instead of all at once.

Module 2 unlocks seven days after purchase.

F

Fulfilment

Getting what was bought to the buyer — shipping a physical item, or granting access to a digital one.

Marking an order shipped with a tracking number.

G

Grace period

How long a subscription keeps working after a renewal payment fails, before access is cut.

Three days of grace while the card is retried.

I

Inventory

How many units of a product you have. PersonaCart tracks it and can stop sales at zero.

Twelve mugs in stock, with a low-stock warning at three.

K

Kill-switch

The control that stops PieOS instantly, whatever its autonomy setting.

Flip it and nothing further runs until you turn it back on.

L

Lead

Someone who showed interest but hasn't bought — an email captured, a form filled.

A visitor who joined your newsletter but has no orders yet.

Low stock threshold

The stock level at which PersonaCart warns you, before you run out.

Set to 5, so you're told while there is still time to reorder.

M

Membership

Recurring access to something for as long as the buyer keeps paying.

A monthly community membership that ends when payment stops.

MRR

Monthly recurring revenue: what active subscriptions bring in each month.

Forty subscribers at £10 is £400 MRR.

O

Offer

A discount rule — a coupon code, or an automatic price reduction on qualifying carts.

10% off automatically once a cart passes £50.

Order

One purchase. Everything a buyer bought in a single checkout, with its payment and fulfilment state.

Order #1042: two items, paid, awaiting shipment.

P

Past due

A subscription whose renewal payment failed. It hasn't ended — the payment is being retried.

A card expired, so the subscription sits past due while retries run.

A single link that takes a payment, with no storefront or cart involved.

You send a client a link for a £300 deposit.

Permission

What PieOS is allowed to touch at all. The outer boundary, set before any approval question arises.

Granting PieOS content permissions but not payments.

PieOS

The autonomous business operating system inside PersonaCart. It understands, runs, monitors and grows the business by directing specialised AI workers, while high-risk decisions stay with the creator.

PieOS notices traffic falling, traces it to a slipped keyword, and proposes a campaign.

Product type

What kind of thing you're selling. It decides which fields the editor shows.

Choosing Course adds a curriculum; choosing Physical adds weight and stock.

Q

Quiz

A set of questions inside a course, used to test understanding and gate progress.

A five-question quiz a student must pass before module 3 opens.

R

Refund

Returning money for an order, in full or in part, through the original payment method.

Refunding one item from a three-item order.

Reorder point

The stock level at which you should be ordering more — earlier than the low-stock warning.

Set at 10 because your supplier takes two weeks.

S

Sale price

The reduced price a product actually sells at while a sale runs.

£25 during launch week, back to £40 after.

Section

A horizontal band of a page, holding blocks. Pages are built by stacking sections.

A hero section, then a product grid section, then testimonials.

Segment

A group of customers defined by a rule, whose membership updates itself as people qualify.

Everyone who bought twice in ninety days.

SKU

A code identifying one exact version of a product, used to track stock.

MUG-BLUE-L for the large blue mug.

Storefront

Your public store: the pages, products and checkout a buyer sees.

yourname.personacart.com, or your own domain.

Subscription

A product a buyer pays for repeatedly on a schedule, until cancelled.

£15 a month for ongoing access.

T

Theme

Your store's look, applied to every page at once — colours, fonts, spacing, corners.

Changing the primary colour moves every button on the store.

V

Variant

One version of a product: a size, a colour, a format. Each has its own stock and price.

The Large / Blue variant of a t-shirt.

W

Worker

A specialised part of PieOS responsible for one area — SEO, marketing, content, pricing, support, inventory, analytics, research, finance.

The inventory worker notices a product is about to sell out.

Y

Year plan

The long-term objective PieOS works toward, so day-to-day work adds up to something.

A goal to grow revenue 40%, which reorders what PieOS prioritises.
